Harvesting Spruce Pitch:
At Laughing Lichen we collect wild Spruce Pitch from black and white spruce trees deep in Canada’s northern wilderness. All harvesting is conducted in a sustainable manner by collecting the hardened sap/resin or “tears” off of live trees. Only enough is collected so that the tree can still retain the sap needed to protect and heal itself. We typically use a very small hatchet and gently scrape the pitch off the tree.
For use as a bath or massage oil. For use in bath water, simply add 1 teaspoon to tub while running bath water.
Use this aromatic Spruce Pitch Oil for your own herbal applications at home. This product is identical to our Spruce Pitch Salve but contains no beeswax.

I have been using this spruce pitch oil consistently for over 5 years now. The 100mL bottle is my go to. It’s amazing at preventing and treating athlete’s foot, yeast infections and itchy skin. It’s gentle enough to use on my children yet it’s highly effective.
