Because of the high pH-level of cold process soap, most people use a slightly acidic rinse after using a shampoo bar. An acidic rinse not only helps to balance the pH but also helps to wash out any unwanted residue or build up on your scalp. To make an acidic rinse at home mix 1 cup of apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water, alternatively use 1 tbsp of citric acid powder dissolved in 3 cups of water. About to make my second order of this product after starting to use it last spring. I like that there is no plastic packaging. Its easy to apply. And when I went on a three week road trip this past summer it was easy to just cut part of the bar off and take it with me without worrying about anything leaking in my luggage. I have short hair, so there is less waste with a bar than with trying to squeeze out a tiny drop of liquid from a bottle.
